Why should I journal away my illness?

When your body hurts so bad peeling off your skin sounds like a good idea. I have been there, and I also chose not to stay there. I had a bad experience with Lyme Disease. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Unless you are experiencing chronic pain it can be hard to articulate it to someone else, especially if you ‘look’ ok. No matter what battle you are facing I hope these affirmations help you find a ray of hope. A positive mindset can help improve the severity of symptoms. It took me TWO years of daily work to out myself in remission through nutrition, eastern and western medical approaches, and fortifying my mindset.


Whenever I told my Lyme story I would always end it with “ I may have it but I’m certainly not keeping it.” I have probably said this phrase ten thousand times, to myself and anyone who would stand still enough to listen to my positivity. Most people didn’t know how sick I actually was. I was choosing to live in ease not disease.


This approach isn’t for everyone but it was for me. It has been a solution for several other women I have coached through their current battle speaking from experience. If you haven’t  cried in the bathtub looking at shell of who you used to be, it’s hard for someone else to understand how trapped in your own body you feel.


I encourage you to have a mantra of your own- use mine until you find your truth- say it until that is the only option available. I never gave myself the option to stay sick. If this gives you hope let’s continue to flex that mind muscle!
